I have a customer using MC55's in a equipment rental lot. The devices are placed in a cradle when not in use and as a result, the battery is almost never changed and the device is seldom reset. After a few weeks, we see the scanner stop working on some devices. IT is my guess that we could resolve this issue by doing a daily soft reset during the off shift window Does anyone have a method of performing a soft reset on an MC55 running WM61 at a regularly scheduled time every day???

Hi, I have scripts that will do this - they allow you to run an application or a script at some point in the future i.e 05:00 next day. - One attached. The script adds an entry to the notification database - then exits. So the script is not running until the time expires, the Notification database then runs the script, adds the next days reboot entry to the database and then warm boots the terminal.
