Hi all My customer is willing to deploy 1200 MC3090G or 3190G with: - A RS507 - Using Wavelink Today in the current BSP, Wavelink doesn't support the RS507. To demo the RS507 with a MC3090/MC3190 and Wavelink we have to ask for demo licenses. Which is refused by the customer Or ask our customer to pay 50 euros to have the proper level of Wavelink. So when are we going to incorporate in a new BSP the proper level of Wavelink to support the RS507?? This blocks an order of 250 RS507 (temporarly or if it last too longs) definitively. Regards Philippe

MC3090G running BSP35 comes with Telnet version 7.0.12 (doesnt support RS507). But still customer can upgrade the telnet to version v7.0.86 (which support RS507 and its for free).

Hi Philippe,   You could get around this (at least for demo purposes) using Datawedge as follows: 1. Configure the Telnet client via the Emulation Manager to disable scanning

2. Install Datawedge 3.1.7

3. Unzip the attached configuration files (including folder structure) to the Datawedge installation folder (overwriting any existing files of the same name) - this will configure Datawedge to support the RS507 and scan-enable any application.

4. Install the RS507 support CAB file for the 3090

5. Pair the scanner with the terminal and check that it is working

6. Start the Telnet client and any scanned data from the RS507 should be placed in the TN keyboard queue. Best Regards, Ian Hatton EMb EMEA
