Hi, team. We have a partner that's willing to replace customer's Datalogic scanners with ours. Customers scans a number of barcodes, one of them is variable length Code128 (5-30 chars). Customer need to attach a prefix to the barcode data with it's length, i.e. 0005xxxxx to a 5-char barcode, 0012aaaaaaaaaaaa to the 12-char barcode, and so on. Can we do this and how? I checked the ADF guide and found no solution. Making 36 rules (for each code length) is not an option - not enough memory (there are other ADF rules).

They are going to use LS3408. The deal size is about 20 scanners + 50-70 Mobile Computers depend on it.
According to Datalogic Config Guide their scanners (Heron D130 - a cheap linear imager) have this option: Code Length TX * Code length not transmitted (default) * Code length transmitted in variable-digit format * Code length transmitted in fixed 4-digit format The last one is the one that customer uses. Do we have our alternative to this?
Hi Arsen, Nothing you can do different then what you already have tried. The feature you are requesting was done in a Custom Product scanner. Do you know what scanner model you are looking to use? We'll see if there is firmware available to demo it. Put in a GRIP request to get it considered to be added to a standard product. Worst case is a Custom Product request. Andy
