1.  9:00 AM 1/5/2010 2.  3 Day 3.  MC5574 4.  BSP 35 WM 6.1 5.  2044762 Is there a reg key to disable the Communication Status LED on the MC5574 like there is on the MC70?  Can the reg key for the MC70 be used? Radio Power Status LED The MC70 has three LED indicators. The Scan/Decode LED indicates status for scanning. The Charge Status LED indicates status for main battery charging. The Radio Power Status LED indicates radio status. The Radio Power Status LED is disabled by default. To enable the LED a registry key must be changed. To enable the LED change the following registry key setting: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Symbol\RFLEDKey] "NoBlink"=dword:00000001 where: dword:0 = enabled dword:1 = disabled After setting the registry key, warm boot the MC70.

Kenneth, tested this regkey and it seems it be used on MC5574 to change the behavior of Comm Led. You have to create the regentry as it is not present by default . [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Symbol\RFLEDKey] "NoBlink"=dword:00000001 where: dword:0 = enabled dword:1 = disabled also be aware that all three radio states like WLAN/WWAN/WPAN are affected by this regkey change. so when set to 1  none of the radio's states is effecting the Green Led to blink.

I guess the next question is then is this reg key officially supported for MC55, since its not present by default.

Ken, The MC55 is designed to check this registry key so you should be able to use it. John
