Hi Folks, Is it possible to change decode sound in MC1000 WinCE 4.2 ? My customer would like to have good decode and bad decode sound when validating their data. Currently, the scanning is triggered with datawedge. Please share your experience should you have encountered this issue too. Regards, Didi

DataWedge works after you've succesfully decoded something. Thus it deals with good decodes only :) You'd have to use Symbol Control Panel (CtlPanelWM) application to achieve what you want. Download it on support.symbol.com http://support.symbol.com/support/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=k…... Copy it to your device, run, enter scanner settings, and there you'll see various feedback parameters (consult the manual if you need). Use "persist" option to make sure you changes survive cold boot.
In MC1000 as the configuration UI not able to operate you mey need to push a edited DataWedge.reg file in to \Application folder. For each Feedback type there is a separate registry entry. I have also attached a sample reg file.You may edit it as you wish and Copy it to the \Application and do a cold boot.
