Hi,

I need your help today regarding a customer that is using the GPS function of the MC75. He is complaining that the reception is not good in his trucks . The device is clipped on the truck drivers belt. The partner found a GPS signal booster that increase the signal in the truck but it is expensive. Do we have a solution?

Also, do we have a best practice document?

Thank you all.

Do you have the details of the customer's complaint? Such as long TTFF (Time To First Fix) or inaccurate position fix? Since GPS receiver requires the line-of-sight signal, if the MC75 sits 'deep' inside the metal truck it's imaginable that the signal is weak. There are two solutions to this issue: 1. move the MC75 closer to the window or windshield. 2. The MC75 maintenance release BPS will have the support of AGPS SUPL which can help to improve the TTFF. Keep in the mind, the SUPL won't help the case of inaccurate position fix caused by the MC75 sitting deep inside the truck.
