L3 Dual Homing an RFS7000

is it possible to define IP routes on an RFS7000 and specify the metric for each route??  here is why I ask: we have a customer who wants to dual-home an RFS7000 so in case one Ethernet Switch fails, the RFS would have another path to the network. they do have a redundant RFS at a 'redundant site".  the goal for dual-homing is to eliminate any un-neccessary failover. this is more complicated than the normal L2 dual homing because the RFS now  requires two IP addresses, one on each GE-port that are connected to different switches.  since it is Layer-3 and  the RFS does not participite in any routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, etc..) so it needs to have two default-gateways with different metrics.  but i can not find any way to specify the "metric" for an IP route on an RFS. on a PC it's done by a ROUTE command: C:\>route add 0.0.0.0 mask 0.0.0.0 10.5.88.212 metric 99 this results in two default gateways with different metrics:: Network Destination        Netmask          Gateway       Interface  Metric           0.0.0.0          0.0.0.0      10.5.88.212     10.5.88.212       99           0.0.0.0          0.0.0.0      10.5.95.254     10.5.88.212       25 thanks, afshin

Unfortunatly this is not posible in WiNG today as there is no way to assign a cost to a route. Please open a GRIP and request this feature. Regards, Kevin
