Viewing unix file system

All, A customer of mine has just asked the following; ****************************************************************************************************************** Is this a known bug/feature
When logged onto a 5100 you can use the pipe and grep commands to display any file in the unix filesystem

eg. sh log | grep . /boot/lilo.conf sh log | grep . /etc/inittab sh log | grep . /proc/cpuinfo ****************************************************************************************************************** I have a horrible suspicision that they are going to tell me that they consider this a serious security issue, so if anyone has any thoughts as to whether we should be able to access these files or not and the security implications around it I would be grateful. For reference this is on a WS5100 running 3.0.2.0. I have asked them to check on a switch running 3.3.x but I suspect it will be the same. IJ
