In the past on some of the imagers, there have been tweaks to improve performance via control panel for example. Is there any thing like that for the SE4600 on the MC9190? Customer wants the MC9190 with the SE4600 to be as snappy as the Lorax when reading 1D bar codes. Thanks.

Is the customer reading only 1D barcodes with the MC9190? If yes, you can disable all the 2D barcode symbologies (like PDF, Aztec, Maxicode, DataMatrix, QR etc) using either ScanSamp2 or DataWedge. That should improve the performance somewhat. Another thing you can try is to set the AutoFocus to Manual (either Near or Far focus) if you know at what distance the customer is usually scanning from (you can refer to the data sheet for working ranges for Near and Far distances). That would improve the performance from the Image acquisition side. Hope that helps.
I was able to get some improved performance on the blockbuster products by changing the error correction settings. This causes some barcodes are not to be read multiple times which improves efficiency
