We have a large customer who's CEO, is hearing all the publicity on LTE, he is asking his IT staff why he shouldn't be using LTE for both inside and outside coverage. Has anyone developed a white paper discussing the difference between LTE and WiFi?

LTE uses licensed frequencies which are usually allocated by the Regulator to a Telco Carrier operator. The allocated frequencies vary from one country to anothe and it ranges from 700-900Mhz, 1.4Ghx, 1.7-2.1 Ghz, 2.5Ghz and 3.5Ghz. LTE could either be in TDD (Time Division Duplex) just like Wifi or FDD (Frequency Division Duplex) where Tx and Rx are on separate frequencies. Wifi works on an unlicensed frequency 2.4Ghz and 5 Ghz where anyone are free to use according to the country regulations.
It should also be mentioned that most laptops and smart phones come with embedded WiFi. Using LTE would require the purchase of additional client adapters.
