Guys, A customer is seeing issues with the Bluetooth  on the MC7596 (WinMo 6-1 BSP2.35) following deployment of Active Synch Exchange email. In summary, following deployment of the Active Synch Exchange email, we are unable to connect to a Bluetooth printer (over a serial port COM9). They also note that some of the Stonestreet  Bluetooth settings are changed. This issue only occurs on devices that have Active Synch Exchange email deployed – other devices behave normally. The Exchange Policy explicitly allows Bluetooth. Anyone seen anything similar?

Switching to the MS BT stack fixes the issue.

This was reported in SPR 17390.  For some reason, Microsoft will delete all keys under [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\NetworkPolicy\Bluetooth\AllowedProfiles] when setting up Exchange.  Those keys are supposed to tell the BT stacks what profiles are allowed based on Exchange server settings, and for whatever reason, they seem to get deleted no matter what the server settings are. The only solution we have found is to extract the keys before installing exchange on one unit, and then merging that in as a registry file on ALL units AFTER exchange has been setup.  Its not a nice solution, but it does work.
