There was a question from the Japan team asking about support for Japanese language in NEON and the general consensus seemed to be that Japanese was supported in V1 but just not in the documentation and sample apps. To test this out, I installed Japanese firmware on an ES400 and visited the site www.yahoo.co.jp and found that it doesn't render the Japanese fonts in NEON (shows up as boxes) but works correctly in IE. Is this a bug that will be fixed in V1? Or will localized support be made available later? Thanks.

Fonts are not currently picked up from the device, for the same reason tags such as and aren't working either. This is a high priority, known issue and we are working to resolve it for the V1 release. I have ensured this will be in the release notes for Beta 02.
