I thought I might start with this group. If any have been reported by you and you have a Sprint or Motorla ticket number please let me know. None of these issue have been reported on Sprint's internal device solutions portal. Thanks

Phone will stop charging all of a sudden. User must reboot (sometimes that fixes the problem) or remove battery completely and put it back to resolve issue.
Phone shuts off completely and gets stuck on the Motorola screen (does not boot OS) and at that stage, you can't even wipe the phone (using camera, hang up button on reboot).
Phone will disable all notifications (sound / vibrate). User must manually re-enable all notifications.
Some users report dial tones while on a phone call. Reboot fixes the problem temporarily. Problem reoccurs randomly.

The ES400 is certified IEEE1725-compliant and includes over-temperature warnings.  This means among other things that the ES400 must shut down and stop drawing any significant current from the battery before the battery cells exceed their maximum allowed discharge temperature of 60 degrees Celsius, as defined by the battery cell manufacturer. Additionally, the battery will stop charging when the battery reaches a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius.

1) IEEE 1725 standard was developed for rechargeable lithium ion and lithium polymer batteries used in cellular devices. The standard establishes criteria for design analysis quality and reliability. The CTIA - the wireless association developed a battery certification program to verify the conformance of cellular devices to IEEE 1725. The CTIA program categorizes the cellular device as a host and its subsystems. The subsystems consist of the cell, battery pack and the adapter. This paper describes the CTIA certification process and how it applies to a lithium ion and lithium polymer rechargeable battery powered cellular product. 2) There is No generally available service pack....We are awaiting the release of the next FW. Please contact support for timelines and beta code 3) There are 2 seperate issues.          a)There is a bug in the sounds and notifications which is fixed in the next release of FW         b) it is possible to inadvertently turn the sounds and notifications off by repeatedly pressing the down volumen button on the side of the ES400

What's the SPR no. for #3 in the list? SPR 19686 doesn't look right.

1) The ES400 (And most of our other current products) is RFC1725 compliant. As a result it must stop charging when the battery temp reaches 60C. The first release of the ES400 is not very graceful about this. Starting in the A1 release (and currently in the beta) we provide a warning at some temp lower than 60C so the user is aware that the battery is getting warmer and we stop charging 2) Yes---There are 2 related SPRs, 19940, 20239. 3) SPR 19686. This issue appears to be a combination of normal WM behavior and a bug in the 1.19.001. SPR Closed—included in BSP 27-4SPR. If the user presses the down volume repeatedly the phone will eventually be silenced but this situation also happens randomly  4) Thats a new one on me

1) RFC 1725 is the protocol for POP. How does this relate to battery charging? 2) Which service pack release should be applied. You reference two. 3)Please clarify. Your note is confusing.
