Short of installing a MDM application, is it possible to restrict internet access with the standard WinMo 6.5 and Internet Explorer Mobile? maybe by password protecting the launch of IE or by creating a local whitelist file? I am not really looking for something bulletproof, but rather something to make facebook.com access more difficult. Thanks, -Justin

Another option is to do the fake out of the DNS name to an invalid site (address). In the big Window world this was done with an etc.hosts file. Looks like something similar is available in the WM world see the attached link for more info. If the use knows the IP address they can still get to the site. http://windowsmobilepro.blogspot.com/2006/04/etchosts-file-equivalent-i…
You could install AppCenter, which is available for download from support.symbol.com, and then configure it to prevent IE from being used AT ALL. But that won't help you if you want to allow IE to run, but not allow access to Facebook, since it cannot allow IE to run while controlling which URLs it connects to.
Have you considered Data Link? If you set up DL on the device, you could restrict access to things like Facebook through the corporate firewall, but still allowing the user to reach pertinent sites.
