Big thanks to David Fischer for finding this!

Hello All,

I have done additional testing and found that there is a way to have both scanners work within the WL/TN client without having to also use Serial Wedge. I changed the emulation parameter “Use Com Input/Output” from “Yes” to “Auto”. Once I saved the setting and pushed it down to the VC5090 I was able to launch the client, select the Bluetooth scanner and pair it with the pairing barcode that appears. After the scanner was paired it then also enabled the LS3408 that I had connected to the Com 1 port. With both enabled I was able to scan barcodes with either the RS507 or the LS3408.

Here are the WL/TN emulation parameters that I have configured:

Com Port Block Data = Yes

Com Port Ignore DSR = Yes

Com Port Ignore Nulls = Yes

Com Port Mode = Scanner

Com Port Parity Mask = 7F

Use Com Input/Output = Auto

As you can see this would be the default configuration of the WL/TN client for use with just the LS3408 except that normally you would set the “Use Com Input/Output = Yes”. Making that one changed allowed both scanner to be functional and usable.

Regards,

David Fischer
