5) Clarify Case #2438395 TA inquiry:
With a MC3190 CE  with 1x battery: under Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Power Icon -> RunTime tab,  there are 3 options (Option 3 Normal, Option 2 Less, and Option 1 Minimum).

For Option 3: at what main battery percentage does the device do a critical suspend?
Also for Option 3: once the device has done a critical suspend how long does the combination of the main battery and backup battery keep memory viable?

For Option 2: at what main battery percentage does the device do a critical suspend?
Also for Option 2: once the device has done a critical suspend how long does the combination of the main battery and backup battery keep memory viable?

For Option 1: at what main battery percentage does the device do a critical suspend?
Also for Option 1: once the device has done a critical suspend how long does the combination of the main battery and backup battery keep memory viable?

Thanks but engineering really did not answer what I asked.   Below are the same questions again but worded differently so I am not confusing it by calling it a critical suspend.

1 – When set at “Normal” at what battery percentage does the device shutdown?

2 – When device shuts down due to a “Normal” setting how long does the combination of the main battery and backup battery keep the memory in a viable  state?

3 – When set at “Less” at what battery percentage does the device shutdown?

4 – When device shuts down due to a “Less” setting how long does the combination of the main battery and backup battery keep the memory in a viable  state?

5 – When set at “Minimum” at what battery percentage does the device shutdown?

6 – When device shuts down due to a “Minimum” setting how long does the combination of the main battery and backup battery keep the memory in a viable  state?

The MC3100 Battery has 2700 mAh. When the device is off, it takes between 3 to 4 mAh. It goes into suspend when it reach the level between 15% to 10% battery contains. This 5% difference can be determined by this Power applet, but in any case it will not shut down with less then 10% ~ 270 mAh! We commit that the backup battery should hold the device for another 30 minutes. It can hold it longer, but we can not commit for that!!!

Critical off state, is when you suddenly removes the battery, without suspending the device first. In this state, the device using the backup battery, and this state doesn't related at all to the Power application that you asking about.   About the Power application: The three states you mention are take place when the battery close to draining, but still in the device. You can set there on which power level to turn off the device, and how much power to leave for holding RAM memory, and other non-storage application. When Normal state means that the device turns off with more power capacity remaining, and Minimum state mean less power capacity - in this state the device stays on for more time. (The Less state is middle of those two). I can't tell for sure what are the exact time differences between each state, because it depends on several things, like: Battery age and usage, working applets on the device, etc. It is recommended to choose the Normal state.
