All, The folks at Portsmith that make a Single Slot Ethernet Cradle for the MC9000/MC9100 need our feedback on the business case for refreshing this cradle. The current cradle (see http://www.portsmith.com/cradles/ethernet-cradle-ps6smc9000ue/ ) does not offer spare battery charging or provide a USB port for connecting to a PC or other accessories. They would like to know if we are aware of any demand or use cases where a customer needs an MC9190 Single Slot Ethernet Cradle, but would also like to charge a spare battery and/or connect to a PC or other device via USB. Ken, what about CRD9000 ( http://www.motorola.com/Business/US-EN/Business+Product+and+Services/Ac…)? This is what most using with 9100. it has battery and USB.
Evgene, The PortSmith cradle provides Ethernet connectivity instead of USB, so our single slot cradle can't be used for customers looking for Ethernet. PortSmith is looking for feedback to know if there is demand for an Ethernet/USB single slot cradle with spare battery support. This cradle would then provide the same features as our CRD9000-1001SR, but would also add Ethernet support. Currently their cradle only provides Ethernet, but no USB or spare battery charging.
