The setting I was referring to is the Optional USB parameter, in the manual it's stated as Ignore Bar code Configuration. I found out this setting is set by enabling the Ignore Type Directives in 123scan2.
If you mean how to disable being able to scan parameter barcodes, you do that when you print a new programming barcode. When the sheet appears, at the top there are barcode options when printing. There are a pair of options there that include: First barcode enables the reading of parameter barcodes Last barcode disables the reading of parameter barcodes. This will make sure no other parameters get programming into a scanner other than what you include in the scan sheet.
