team, we are bringing up a pilot store at a customer in a couple of days and looking for ideas on how to run benchmark testing on a number of different devices such as laptop, MC55, andriod-phones and iPhones. do we have a tool that use internally to perform throughput testing on various devices?  has anyone going through this exercise already? our competition is CISCO and they have already commissioned and paid their partner CDW to run this test for the customer, in the CISCO pilot store. thanks, afshin

Afshin I have used a utility in the past called iperf. Its a free tool on the web and you install it on 2 seperate PC's. One is the client and the other the server,. You then copy a large file (maybe the ES400 OS image) and it will benchmark the time http://www.softpedia.com/get/Network-Tools/Misc-Networking-Tools/Iperf… I'm sure you know that CDW is the old Berbe Cisco reseller....it would probably make sense to find out what tool they are using...if we dont use the same tool we are really comparing apples to oranges
