I have a customer who needs to retrieve the S/N of DS4208 via USB. They are using an Ingenico payment terminal as host, and connectivity is USB keyboard HID. So Scanner APIs are not a valid option. USB HID protocol actually allows reading this data (if this feature is implemented on the driver, of course, which we still have to check from Ingenico). I have checked on a PC using USBView utility and yes, DS4208 does report a S/N! However, reported data is AD3C1527902C2A4DAA1820AB907FF8F1, while actual SN is MXA5GU93. 123Scan2 also detects MXA5GU93 as SN. So my questions are: 1) Is there any formula to get MXA5GU93 from AD3C1527902C2A4DAA1820AB907FF8F1? 2) If Ingenico driver does not support this feature, is there some other way to read the S/N on this propietary Ingenico device, using USB interface?
