Hello... Just trying to see if anyone has information regarding a question from my customer around GPRS Best Practices. Email/Question is as follows:
Can you poke around for any best practices information on GSM data usage?  We use TCP  in our latest method to exchange data over ATT.  I am finding that our usage according to ATT is way out of line with what we expected and the actual payload.  I expect maybe 20-30% overhead for TCP and HTTP involved with our data transmission but we are seeing more like 200-300% overage.  I am wondering if retries count against us and if there might be any tweaks to TCP timing, window sizes etc over GSM data that might be required.  I am obviously looking for something big not a way to just bring down usage 10% Thanks for any and all information...
