Is it possible to disable the USB (Host/Client) ports on the VC5090? I have a customer who's users are charging their phones off the port and a couple with Windows phones have even sync'd their data accidentally. I know how to stop the syncing but is there a way to just disable the port entirely? Thanks, Chris

Hi Chris,
The VC5090 was not designed with the capability of disabling the USB ports. However, if this functionality is needed you can, at your own risk, prevent the USB related drivers from being loaded by the Os by editing the registry.

I found a non-supported way of accomplishing this with the enclose registry key. Please keep in mind that prevent all the drivers from being loaded by the Microsoft Windows CE 5 OS may cause problems for the device.

best regards,

THE REG KEY IS:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\OTG]
"PortMode"=dword:00000000
"Dll"="_OTG.Dll"
