MC9190 WLAN Radio disabled after Cold Boot

All, I know this is an old subject but I'm struggling and previous suggestions don't work. I have a WinCE MC9190 running latest image (v2.32.04) and latest fusion (3.0.2.00-025R). I have used the suggested reg key;
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\WLAN]

"InitialState"=dword:0
But I still cannot get the radio to stay enabled after a coldboot. I've used a registry key, I've tried adjusting it directly using a registry editor but still no joy. The only thing I can think is that we have Avalanche enabler loaded which might be conflicting, but I am loathe to remove it as all of the customer's other terminals are currently using it. Has any one got any ideas? Thanks IJ

If you are using a .reg file to do this, double check that the file is being saved by your editor as an ANSI file.  Unicode will not work for a .reg file.  Have been burned by this several times.
