i just took this 'image' of the end of the DS4208 box.....using a DS4208 and 123scan2. Not great quality / resolution. Grey scale only. Buts its an image, so it really depends on what you want the image of and for. Better for 'images' is something like the DS6707 as its a 1.3 M pixels The DS4208 with the SE3300 engine is not really designed for 'camera like' images. But if thats the only scanner you have and you want to demo the concept...it works....but in the real world????

Official answer from Product group. -Standard DS4208 does not support imager -If imager is needed, you must apply for a Custom Product Request.

You can also capture images using the 'data view' feature of 123scan2....you get the option to show the data (barcode decode or the image)
