Customer is complaining that the ET1 Batteries are difficult to remove and replace during a shift. Thus causing damage to the batteries. They have returned devices on RMA Part number is 82-149690-01. Curious if any one else is seeing simular issues

Yes, this issue was addressed and fixed. Do you know if the unit that is referred to here is an old one?
No these are production units. The issue seems to be the environment outdoors is the challenge. Dusty gritty etc.
