Our customer is evaluating our voice solutions with their iPhones. The iPhones don't have WWAN connectivity.

Using Motorola Mobile Extension Client for PTT functionality
Using Cisco Jabber for PBX type functionality

Problems with our client on iPhone:

When our app is in the background, PTT calls aren't received.
When iPhone isn't awake, PTT calls aren't received.

Is this an iOS issue?  How does Cisco Jabber perform in these same circumstances?

2. When the iPhone is not awake it's not on the network, there's no way to direct incoming transmission. Have you ever seen incoming Skype call on a sleeping iPhone? This is different from WWAN calls. 1. This might be a limitation of what Apple calls a 'VoIP app' (which is allowed to run in the background). I would suggest talking to product managers for further details. Ensure to include the MX Client software version. :) Overall, iPhone is not an enterprise-grade device, do not expect a lot from it.
