I tested the CS_ImagerSample compiled with EMDK 2.7 NET on a MC75A OEM 37/41 WM6.5, and as you can see in the attachments when the preview is totally white you will see the dark horizontal stripes. Unfortunately when you take the picture this stripes are stored on the file. When you use the Camera capture from MicroSoft, you will see this issue only the first 3 seconds on the preview, then the preview stabilizes and after that no problem at all. This indicates that this issue is not hardware so far, because MS application works fine on the same device.
I also tested the MC95, BSP 41 with CS_ImagerSample and not issue at all. From engineering perspective: Anti-Banding is the algorithm running in the camera sensor (component not application). According to camera platform team, even if the algorithm is running in camera sensor in MC75A, if the auto-exposure algorithm chooses the exposure time which is short enough where some rows are exposing while the light is on and other rows while the light is off you will see the problem. This is not an issue but a limitation from the MC75A camera sensor component. Attached BMP files from ImagerSample and JPG from camera capture. Does anyone have notice this before?
