Ethernet cradle IP addresses

Hi, Im working on a potential large roll out of CE MC9190's & Ethernet cradles.  The customer will be deploying Ethernet cradles at approx 1000 sites as they do not use WiFi. If the MC9190 needs to initiate comms then all works fine - data is sent and received as required. If we need to start a remote control management session to the MC9190 how do we resolve the IP address that the Ethernet cradle gives the MC9190?  The IP the 9190 is given has a .1 (or.2 or .3 or .4) at the end (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.1) - which will not resolve. Does anyone know how can we take control of a device when it is in an Ethernet cradle. Thanks Andy

Andy,  I think that the 9190 cradle is multiplexing the 4 slots to one external IP address (unlike the other MC crades where you get one network DHCP IP address per slot). If so then it can only work with a device initiated remote control session unfortunately although it would be worth checking whether there is any config option to change the cradle to allocate one IP per slot.  Best Regards, Ian Hatton
