Hi

Now MAC naming can be seen at WiNG5.4.2 GUI. Can we show these name through CLI? I am not sure, but we had some commands in the previous WiNG4.x to convert to MAC naming through CLI. I cannot see MU name through “show wireless client”.

rfs4000-22A33E#show wireless client ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MAC                         IP    VENDOR             RADIO-ID             WLAN                 VLAN         STATE

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

00-23-68-CA-EB-46  192.168.10.101 Motorola Inc       B4-C7-99-DF-7F-00:R2 RFS4KV10             1       Data-Ready

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Total number of wireless clients displayed: 1 rfs4000-22A33E#

Your side input would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Raymond-san Thank you for your input. Yes, we can see through “show wireless client detail”. Can we see MU list with MU naming , such as through “show wireless client”? I remember we could do this at the previous WiNG. Best Regards

Sato-San You need to customize the table to include the hostname column you cvan accomplish what you are looking for by the following command (config)#customize show-wireless-client mac ip hostname radio-alias radio-type wlan vlan state Here is the output when I now run show wireless client ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MAC                         IP    HOSTNAME          RADIO                RADIO-TYPE  WLAN                 VLAN         STATE ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 00-1A-13-18-22-C9   192.168.0.137 android_9774d56d... ap71xx-CACC6E:R1     11bg        homewifi             1       Data-Ready 00-24-D7-99-54-38   192.168.0.145 RobPC             ap8132-73460C:R1     11bgn       homewifi             1       Data-Ready 0C-60-76-0F-FB-9C   192.168.0.147 Roxy-PC           ap8132-73460C:R1     11bgn       homewifi             1       Data-Ready 10-60-4B-0C-73-6C   192.168.0.134 HP0C736C          ap71xx-CACC6E:R1     11bgn       homewifi             1       Data-Ready 80-96-B1-29-AB-E3   192.168.0.135 android-6fb0aa68... ap8132-73460C:R1     11bgn       homewifi             1       Data-Ready 88-53-95-39-FD-31   192.168.0.141 Roxy              ap71xx-CACC6E:R1     11bgn       homewifi             1       Data-Ready 88-53-95-3A-4F-9C   192.168.0.136 dawn              ap8132-73460C:R1     11bgn       homewifi             1       Data-Ready

Hi Raymond-san

Thank you for your attention and input. I also knew that that could be displayed through “show wireless client detail”. However, I want to see Mu name through the list. I cannot find out the way for this purpose. I remember that I could do this with WiNG3.x/4.x. Could you please tell me if we can though “filter” option?

Best Regards Sato

It does show the host name next to the MAC address
  ADDRESS        : 00-24-D7-C9-3A-6C - hvcj63-hp 192.168.1.3 (vlan:1)     ADDRESS        : 8C-7B-9D-25-BF-E0 - Baileys-iPod 192.168.1.7 (vlan:1)

Do a Show wireless Client Detail. That will show you the host name. You can also do a filter command.
