4) BSP41 5) Clarify Case # 2890283 MC55A0/BSP41...losing Ethernet connectivity upon resume from suspend in CRD5501 4-Slot Ethernet cradle. Please review attached resource.csv and RTLog. * 1/1/2009 2:01 --Device acquires IP address via SMSC driver when placed in CRD5501 - 4-SLot e-cradle * 1/1/2009 2:17 --Device suspends....and is unattended until 1/4/2009 18:00. Connection arrows have an 'x' and SMSC driver shows as 'not connected'. Removal and re-insertion into cradle fails to resolve. Only after device is warm booted at 18:13 does it connect again when placed back in slot. *Please note that a different device placed in same slot acquired IP normally.

It appears that the problem is resolved after installing the SMSC driver that is attached to SPR24088

Thanks, David...I will give this a try

David, Installation of Fusion 3.00.2.0.025R did not resolve the issue. I tested with WLAN off and on and associated. Please note, this issue does not exist in the older CRD5500-4000ER cradles which uses the USB/Ethernet Adapter. The connection does "reset' when device resumes from suspend i.e; the arrows 'break' for a couple of seconds and the IP field displays 'Not connected' at that time...but the connection arrows restore and IP displays again automatically after a few seconds. but on the CRD5501-4000ER, connectivity can only be restored via reboot.

Sounds like this needs an SPR since you can reproduce it.

Please try loading Fusion 3.00.2.0.025R and retesting.  There was a conflict in Fusion between different adapters such as an ethernet adapter which has been resolved.  This may resolve your issue as well.
