Is there a way to change default SMS notification sounds? settings - sounds - notification only has an option to set notification sounds for MMS.

Actually, there is continuation of this. What they want is a way for the audible to repeat in case the user doesn’t hear the first tone. There is a Repeat option under ‘new text message’ however, it is greyed out and not selectable

from the Notifications drop down choose "Messaging: New text message".
Thank you Tom. Don't understand how I missed it. I guess with analogy of "New MMS message" I was expecting to see "New SMS message"
