Raymond -- the Session timeout is a security feature of Concierge to clear data between user sessions. This is a configurable feature however. If you go to Settings > User sessions > Session timeout you can set the timeout period to a longer time from the default 30 seconds if you wish.
Is there also a way to entirely disable this feature? And secondly, are we able to remove the navigation which is at the bottom of the screen?
Our business partner is developing an application with it's own navigation bar and wants to avoid the use om Home / Back / End Session as mentioned at the bottom of the screen.
The Session time out can only be disabled if you are running Concierge Browser as the guest app. To enable this setting type about:config in the browser and search for 'concierge'. A list of settings should show up. Toggle
concierge.kiosk.disable_user_session_timeout to True
To disable the bottom menu bar similarly when the Browser is displayed toggle
concierge.kiosk.full_screen to True
The menu bar will come up in the browser only when you have to login to a different user group from guest by long pressing the area above the clock but will be invisible otherwise. Hope that's what you are looking for.
