We are in process of considering MC40 device for our web application testing. We are developing a web application for mobiles and the application is not hybrid and it is not native application also. Application will be used in device web browser. We just want to use basic scanner to populate text field with bar code data. I have some basic question regarding the scanner capabilities.
 
1. Can we use basic scanner capabilities for web browser based application?
2. Do we need to code or configure anything to get scanner data on text fields of our web application in browser?
 
I have looked at RhoMobile Suite documentation but we are not planning to convert our application to hybrid or native application.
