TC55 KK Flash Memory Partitioning

I have compared the TC55 KK with a Moto E smartphone and see the following difference in flash partitioning:

Moto E : 4 GB Total Flash , 2 GB Internal Mem , 2 GB Internal SD Card

TC55 KK: 8 GB Total Flash , approx 5 GB Internal Mem, 1 GB Internal SD card

The above figures lead to the following questions:

a) Why do we only have 1 GB allocated to internal SD card on the TC55 KK (since the SD card memory requirement should be a higher priority than internal flash mem)?

b) Can the partition boundary be moved in order to increase the SD card allocation?

c) On the Moto E, the internal mem + internal SD card figures add up to the total flash mem installed ( 4 GB) whereas on the TC55 we appear to be missing approx 2 GB of flash after adding the same figures. What is using this memory?

Hi Ian,
Regarding the last point seems that we have a partition table where we gift close to two 2GB to /dev/, and other system folders, when much less space is needed (look at the amount of free space):

TC75 has a similar partition.
