Anyone managing the device via Soti will probably require an updated Soti Agent (v12_10_22488) to properly manage a device.  Version 12.1 is currently going thru QA and should be generally available as an upgrade next week.

Both my lab and the customer Soti environment are currently running Soti server version 12.0.0.18554
Agent installed without any issues, which actually surprised Soti, they didn't expect it to install at all.
Using the current V12.0 Agent

Data wedge configuration files properly executed
Customers application installed properly
WifiConfig.APK failed to install and the scripts to change the permissions of the xml failed.
MX files failed to execute

Was provided a new WifiConfig.apk which is required on the KK builds, new apk allowed the new Soti Agent (v12.1) to install it and the new agent was able to execute the script commands to change the permissions of the file to consume it.
Was provided an pre-released MobiControl Agent (v12.1) which fixed the MX execution and scripting to install the wificonfig.apk and consume the xml file.

Hi John,

We currently have a customer who will be upgrading their MC40's running JellyBean to the KK build to support some additional software.

Soti MobiControl v11.0.3.15365
MobiControl Agent v11.0.3.15365

My concern is if they want to upgrade these devices, will we need to upgrade the Soti backend to a 12.1 variant or will there be a backwards compatible agent?

Thanks,
Nick Davis
