Whenever I interact with the MC18KK - ie press the home button, select an app, put the device in standby etc - I can hear this subtle hum that, I believe, comes from the speaker on the device for about 4-5 seconds. Is this intentional? This does not seem normal.

Inorder to enable us recreate the problem here, could you please provide the following details
1. The software OS version running on the device (please goto Settings->About Device->Build number)2. Details of the reproduction steps
a. the flow that results in the hum sound
b. how often can it be reproduced
c. is it with a specific application or with any app
d. when you say put the device in standby, are you pressing the power button on the soft key or just leaving device idle?
e. Is the device on cradle or outside?
3. Are there any other custom applications installed than the default set of applications?
