Stryker Orthopedics is a customer based in New Jersey that has been using our RFID fixed readers they purchased through a reseller. They are also working with Iris Software and not getting very far with their multiple facility deployment as they’ve been trying to manage it all themselves. I don’t think Stryker knows enough about RFID and the reseller wasn’t interested in stepping in when I asked them for assistance. 

Stryker has a big push for RFID but they need to get their current project working and came to us “Motorola the big giant” hoping to get more support. 

I contacted Thomas Schwendt to get him involved as their account manager (he hasn’t been working with this group at Stryker before and hasn’t done any RFID).

We can recommend a partner once we get more information but might need a technical resource on a call on Thursday afternoon.  Would an SEVT be able to join a call? Here are the items that Stryker wants to discuss with us:
- Baseline understanding of our internal structure
- Current Advantages and Disadvantages
- Where Stryker is headed
- Multiple facility architecture (What does a better system need)
- Client PC upgrades or better modes of upgrading
- Network, Servers, communication
- Handling hardware traffic (Readers, PC’s & Printers)
- Support systems
