The get the data coming from the barcode reader on a TC55 you've three ways:
Do nothing, by default, when you're on a edittext, the DataWedge barcode scanner send the data as keyboard entry
Integrate the DataWedge Intent in your application so that you've a finer control on how you manage the barcode data (as an example there's an open source phonegap plugin doing this)
Fully integrate our Android EMDK for native Java in a PhoneGap plugin. In this way you can create new DataWedge profiles or use the native Barcode API to interface directly with the HW Barcode scanner.
