Not sure where you get Android NDK 10e. Did you see that documented somewhere? Isn't it still r9d?
I run under Ruby 2.3.0. I have to make a small change to the Gemfile to do so, because it calls for an older version of the json gem that isn't supported under 2.x. It seems to work fine with the latest version.
I publish a public fork of Rhodes that makes some very minor changes including the above. I haven't done this for 5.4, yet, nor have I tried 5.4. You can read about the changes in Issues 1 through 4 of my fork:
(Issue #4 won't be needed for 5.4 since already supports iOS9...)
According to current documentation:
RMS 5.1 does not support Android NDK r10; Android NDK r9 is current recommendation.
Of course, that's clear as mud, as that quote is found in the 5.4 documentation but specifically says "5.1".
