Currently the "Power Manager" API supports to put the device to sleep and to reboot the device.
We would like to be able to completely power down the device from within our application.
Users often just put the device into sleep mode instead of powering it down, before they leave for the weekend.
On next Monday morning the battery is low or even completely depleted and system time is lost.
If we were able to automatically power down the device after a certain time of inactivity, this could be prevented.
