Is it possible to use a mobile webbrowser for printing

Hello,

Is it possible to somehow implement a print button on a personal website, which can connect to a Zebra ZQ100 via Bluetooth and must be functional in a Android webbrowser.

Maybe using javascript?

Any help will be appreciated!

Hi Bill

Thanks a lot for your fast answer and lucky for me that you just did a webinar :-)

If I understand the "Browser Print" tool correctly: The printer needs to be connected to a PC using USB and than its possible to print from a random web based application.

In my case the printer needs to be Bluetooth connected to the same Android mobile as where the website is accessed. Is that also possible?

I have a slightly different

I have a slightly different question: Can browser print be used with a webview to print directly to a supported printer from a mobile app (as opposed to website) via USB, network or Bluetooth? I'm interested in printing thru a Rho app, closed or open source version of Rho.

If no, what are the alternatives?

Hi Mark, While we do not

Hi Mark,

While we do not currently support Android with Browser Print, Rho already has some JavaScript APIs for printing.  Rhomobile | Printing

It supports Bluetooth, network, and (I beleive )USB.

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for the response.  It's my understanding that, as mentioned earlier in this thread, Browser Print doesn't work via Bluetooth, only USB.  Has that now changed? If not, does Zebra Enterprise Browser work with Bluetooth comms?

thanks

Lianne, Sorry for the oversight. Browser Print does not support Bluetooth. Enterprise Browser does, though.

Hi, apologies, this is now

Hi, apologies, this is now moving off topic of this thread but it doesn't look like Enterprise Browser works on Windows (other than Windows CE).  I need to be able to print from a browser to a Zebra printer on a Windows tablet with a full version of Windows installed.  What can be used for this?

thanks.
