Hi Scott,Are you printing

Hi Scott,

Are you printing using ZPL? You can rotate text on the label using the second argument of the ^A command (found on page 39 of the ZPL Progamming Guide). Barcode ZPL commands also usually have an orientation argument as well.

Hi Samantha,Thanks for your

Hi Samantha,

Thanks for your help so far. We currently have :

^XA^FWr=r^XZ

This seems to change the orientation of text but not the barcode. we also loose the gap notch setting by sending this to the printer.

We use the following for our qln420 printers and it works fine:

^XA^MNN^LL1220^XZ^XA^JUS^XZ

Hi Scott,The ^FW command

Hi Scott,

The ^FW command should change the orientation of the barcode unless you specify the barcode's orientation in it's ZPL command.

For example, a Code 128 barcode is created using the ^BC command, and it's first argument is orientation. The following ZPL creates a barcode that is unaffected by the ^FW command, because the first parameter of ^BC is N (normal/not rotated):

^XA

^FWR

^BCN,100,Y,N,N

^FD123456^FS

^XZ

However, removing the first parameter lets the barcode be rotated by the ^FW command:

^XA

^FWR

^BC,100,Y,N,N

^FD123456^FS

^XZ
