Dear Community,
We use MC32N0 WinCE devices. These devices don't have - (minus) and / (slash) characters on their keypads, but we would need to enter these characters in our telnet application.
Is it possible to remap or reprogram some keys for these characters? Please recommend some ways to achieve it. (As I see there are programmable keys on the keypad, but I haven't found how to use them).
Thanks for your help!
Imre

Hi,
Finally I found a working method. Datawedge wasn't good for this problem (or I didn't set it properly).
You can set these programmable keys with key macros:
1. install activesync to your computer
2. install TelnetCE 3200 (WLTE_MOT_MC3200_CE7_7_3_303_AS.exe)
3. start TelnetCE. In the program :
Emulation parameters - Emulation - Common - Key Macros
4. copy the edited termcfg.bin file to your device's telnetce-directory
Other way: if DataWedge is on you can scan some codes for the characters or whole strings with special characters.
Thanks, I start to evaluate this method.
You could use the software keyboard (SIP?)
Dear Sven,
Yes, it is available, but it is very inconvenient. Some people work in industrial area, eg. using stylo with gloves is very impractical so we try to find another method.
Thanks,
Imre
