    Vertical or Landscape Printing

    Karthik Nagendiran

In the below label ZPL, I'm seeing some misalignment with TB and FB commands, even though both are having same y-axis specified in the Field Origin (FO). why is it so? How do I make it print from bottom margin instead of starting it from middle?

Also is there any restriction on using the FB and TB commands with FWR/FWB commands. Because with FWR/B and TB/FB commands are not aligning properly within the label. Any suggestions ?

          Hi Karthik,

There are several commands that dictate where each character string starts on the label. Rotating content on a label from horizontal to landscape or back is rarely just a matter of changing the orientation of the fields because of the way fonts work and their interaction with other fields.  If you specify the location of a string of text especially with a ^FO, you will have to modify the location when rotated. Also your right justified fields make a difference.

If you can show how you want it to look, I might be able to send back some ZPL.

              Hi Robin,

With the below ZPL, what needs to be done to print the text block (highlighted in red) from the bottom margin similar to the Field block text.

As of now, the Text block is printing from the vertical middle not like the Field Block which is printing as expected.
