The iOS SDK API allows changing the beep volume and frequency. For instance, through the use of beeper volume attributes such as RMD_ATTR_VALUE_BEEPER_VOLUME_LOW, one can lower the beep volume by executing a command.

My question is how the beep sound on a successful scan can be turned OFF altogether under program control.

Is there any API or SDK constants that can be used for this purpose ? Or this is possible at all with the current SDK ?

We are using CS4070 and in certain environments such as hospitals, when required, the beep sound on a successful scan needs to be turned off.
