Zebra TC75 programm action on a button

Hello,

where i work we use zebra tc 75 and all work fine.

we'd like to make a button programmable, for example the volume button.

for to explain,  we have a lockdown (mobicontrol), on this lockdown we have some icon (html link).

Each link opens an html page.

On this html page with have some input field.

Is it possible for example to click on a button on this html page by pressing the volume button ?

I've read that some button can be programmable but is it possible to fire a button on a html page ?

If yes, could you describe how i can do ?

thanks for all

You can use the KeyMappingMgr

You can use the KeyMappingMgr MX CSP to control key mappings on the Zebra Android devices and SOTI MobiControl does support the application of MX based XML files. With that said, if you have the TC75 and not the TC75x then programmatic key-mapping is not supported. More info here:

The documentation provided

The documentation provided shows you how to actually perform a keymap of any of the keys on the TC75x, but I don't think it's going to be able to solve you're particular request. Maybe instead of having the button click on a specific link on a page (don't think that's possible) you instead keymap the partcular key to an application launch or an intent that executes the same link that you have on your lockdown page? Meaning, if I have Chrome on my Soti Lockdown screen the user can tap on it to launch it. Alternatively, if I also map the Volume button to Chrome then when then that button is pressed Chrome will also be launched. The Volume button won't actually "click" the shortcut that you have on the screen but you'll still achieve the desired result.

Hello matt,

i hope you're well

did you remenber this question ?

in fact, the solution was very easy

our users need only when they press the left button that a html form is POST

for to do this, i have put the left button (not the scan button) to the a key event -> ENTER

Now, when they navigate to the SAP applicatino they can fill the field and press this button for to send the form ..

It's work

thanks for your time guy and thanks for all your company develop (stage now, ...)
