Depending on what type of configurations you want to retrieve from the printer, there are many ZPL or SGD commands can do that. One of handy SGD commands is ! U1 getvar "allcv", which dumps the entire configuration data back to the host, literally a lot. We don't use this command in applications, because the output is just too large. We use this command with Printer Setup Utilities for Windows tool.
