We use Zebradesigner to create templates. How do I pass a control character FNC1 for a QR code as the field separator?

I can see that or in the Fix Data is treated as field separators when scanned, but in the Variable Data they are treated as ordinary test.

1) Below shows the template bar code containing the field separators. These are treated as control characters.

2) However, when I use a variable bar code data the template treats GS or FNC1 as normal text.

Could someone show me some documentation on how I can pass FNC1 separator into my template?
