Great example of an integrated Rhomobile solution

I always love seeing examples of real RhoMobile applications out in the wild, but I especially love seeing a solution that really takes advantage of all that we have to offer, from device capabilities, multi-operating system support to integration with 3rd party accessories and complex backend systems. Saltus Technologies and it's digiTicket solution, was recently spotlighted on Officer.com, a website targeted at law enforcement.

Using RhoMobile as the mobile application, digiTicket provides powerful, flexible and easy features to law officers:

  • Share equipment between officers
  • Work in a connected or disconnected state (does not require wireless connectivity)
  • Print multiple violations on one ticket
  • Record violator’s signature electronically
  • Quickly capture GPS coordinates, electronic signatures, fingerprints, voice notes, photos and map incident locations
  • Perform NCIC queries on persons and vehicles

Send me a note if your RhoMobile application has been featured on the web.

I know I should really be asking Saltus, but are there any special requirements for the driving license, registration document etc. and what device(s) was used for implementing it, would it require a specific Moto device or will any smartphone supported by RhoMobile work?

RhoElements supports barcodes without a Moto device, but the extension barcode scanner on the ET1 or the built in scanner on the MC40 are fantastic, so you'd want to support both if you were to support barcode scanning across Moto and non-Moto devices.

Parsing the data, on the other hand, is a different problem.
