MWM mobile experience on the Desktop- [For Motorola internal use only]

MWM mobile User Interface can be launched from the desktop by using Chrome browser, Below information will throw light on how this can be done and can be simplified by installing the MWM extension targeted to chrome.

Below URLs can be used to launch the respective MWM device experience directly on Chrome browser, we will have to replace the IP ADDRESS with the IP address of the server in which MWM is installed.

SB1 :       http:// [IP ADDRESS] /MWM/Areas/Shell/mwmonpc.html?320x240

MCXX :   http:// [IP ADDRESS] /MWM/Areas/Shell/mwmonpc.html?480x640

MC40 :    http:// [IP ADDRESS] /MWM/Areas/Shell/mwmonpc.html?480x800

ET1 :       http:// [IP ADDRESS] /MWM/Areas/Shell/mwmonpc.html?1024x600

Chrome Extension:

For ease of use, We have developed an extension to the Chrome browser which can be very helpful in launching any supported MWM mobile experience just by specifying the IP address of the MWM server.

Please follow below steps to add the attached Chrome Extension.

1. Extract the Attached file, it's protected with the password "mwm".
2. We should be able to see a file MWM_DeviceUI in the extracted folder, rename the same to "MWM_DeviceUI.crx". The extension .crx should be in lower case.
3. Launch Chrome, launch the URL "chrome://extensions" in the address bar.
4. Chrome Extensions page will be launched, Drag and Drop MWM_DeviceUI.crx file on to this page in Chrome.
5. Select "Add" in the confirmation message.
6. Now, we will see a new icon appearing on the right top corner (next to address bar)
7. Enter the IP address of the MWM server and select the device experience and select "GO".
8. The selected device experience will be launched in a new tab.
